The Barcode & Billing feature of Pharmacy POS BD allows you to create fast, accurate, and professional invoices. Using barcode scanning and an optimized billing screen, you can serve customers quickly even during busy hours.

1. Billing Screen Overview

1. Login to Pharmacy POS BD.
2. From the Dashboard, click Sales / Billing.
3. The billing screen will open.

The billing screen includes:

• Product search / barcode input field
• Medicine list added to the invoice
• Quantity and price details
• Discount and total calculation
• Print and save options

2. Barcode Setup (Optional)

If your pharmacy uses barcode labels:

1. Connect a USB barcode scanner to your computer.
2. The scanner works like a keyboard—no driver installation is usually required.
3. Click on the barcode input field in the billing screen.
4. Scan the medicine barcode.

The medicine will be added instantly to the invoice.

3. Billing Using Barcode Scanner

1. Place the cursor in the Barcode / Search field.
2. Scan the medicine barcode.
3. The system will automatically:
   • Identify the medicine
   • Select the correct batch (based on expiry)
   • Add it to the invoice

Repeat the process for each medicine.

4. Manual Medicine Search (Without Barcode)

If a medicine does not have a barcode:

1. Type the medicine name in the search box.
2. Select the medicine from the dropdown list.
3. Enter the quantity.
4. The medicine will be added to the invoice.

5. Batch & Expiry Handling During Billing

• The system automatically selects the earliest expiry batch (FIFO).
• If multiple batches exist, the correct batch is chosen to avoid expiry loss.
• Expired batches are restricted or warned during sale.

6. Quantity, Price & Discount

During billing, you can:

• Increase or decrease quantity
• Apply item-level or invoice-level discount (if allowed)
• View total price instantly

All calculations are done automatically and accurately.

7. Completing the Sale

1. Review the invoice details.
2. Click Save / Print Invoice.
3. Choose:
   • Print invoice
   • Save without printing

After saving:

• Stock is reduced automatically
• Sales data is recorded
• Invoice number is generated

8. Invoice Printing

Pharmacy POS BD supports:

• Thermal printers
• Laser printers

Printed invoices include:

• Pharmacy name & address
• Invoice number & date
• Medicine details
• Total amount
• Footer message (optional)

9. Reprint or Edit Invoice

• You can reprint old invoices from Sales History
• Invoice editing is restricted based on user permission
• Edited invoices update stock and reports accordingly

10. Billing Safety Features

• Warning for low stock
• Alert for expired medicines
