The Data Backup & Security module in Pharmacy POS BD ensures that your pharmacy’s valuable information—sales, purchases, stock, and customer records—is safe from accidental loss or system failures. Regular backups and security measures protect your business and maintain operational continuity.


1. Importance of Backup

Backing up data is crucial to:

  • Prevent loss from computer crashes
  • Restore data in case of accidental deletion
  • Maintain financial and inventory records
  • Protect pharmacy operations and compliance

2. Backup Methods

Pharmacy POS BD provides simple backup options:

  1. Local Backup:
    • Saves a copy of your database on your computer or external storage (USB drive, external hard drive).
  2. Cloud Backup (Optional):
    • Upload backup files to cloud storage for additional safety.

3. Creating a Backup

  1. Go to SettingsBackup & Restore.
  2. Click Create Backup.
  3. Choose the backup location:
    • Local folder
    • USB drive
    • Network drive (if available)
  4. Click Save / Start Backup.

The system will save all sales, stock, purchase, and user data in a secure file.

⚠️ Remember the backup location for easy retrieval.


4. Restoring Data from Backup

If you need to restore your data:

  1. Go to SettingsBackup & Restore.
  2. Click Restore Backup.
  3. Select the backup file.
  4. Click Restore.

All data will be restored to the state saved in the backup.

⚠️ Restoring a backup will replace the current data, so ensure you select the correct file.

  • User Authentication: Only authorized users can log in.
